Smart buildings require smart companies
Microsoft announced last week that it will be partnering with Johnson Controls to add artificial intelligence and smart building systems to the new headquarters of Bee’ah, a sustainability-focused company in the UAE. Bee’ah selected Johnson Controls, one of the top patent holders in the Energy Financial Settlement sector, for its skills and offerings across smart building systems and the underlying software platforms, embodied in the company’s expansive patent portfolio. Although Microsoft was selected primarily for its AI technology, it also has several patent documents in this sector, indicating its ability to integrate seamlessly with existing grid technology.
