Protecting the grid
Siemens has partnered with Alphabet‘s cybersecurity subsidiary Chronicle to protect the energy industry’s critical infrastructure from cyber threats. This highlights the intensifying need for measures against malicious hackers all around the world. Chronicle has a pending patent application in the AI Cybersecurity sector, while Siemens has numerous patent documents in the Energy Financial Settlement sector. Siemens was also issued a patent last month for fault analysis in a building management system, which shows that the company recognizes the importance of preparing for potential issues in energy infrastructure.
