Siemens to electrify Norway
Hafslund Nett, Norway’s largest grid company, has contracted Siemens to supply a new Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) for the operation of a regional power grid. The system will enable monitoring and control of the complete power grid covering all (high-, medium-, low-) voltage levels, and will allow easy integration of third-party IT/OT systems. Siemens boasts a strong patent portfolio in the Energy Financial Settlement sector, focusing on Platform Architecture and Energy Transaction documents. Its investment in intellectual property indicates the company’s ability to meet the demands of Norway’s energy grid.
