IBM’s AI cybersecurity report addresses the lack of response preparation

On 4/11/2019, IBM released a study on cybersecurity that includes the importance of artificial intelligence to cyber resilience. The report states that an alarming 77% of organizations do not have a cybersecurity incident response plan that is applied consistently across their enterprise. Furthermore, among the 23% that do have such a plan in place, 54% do not test their plans regularly. Given that improper or insufficient response to data breaches and other cyber attacks can lead to millions of dollars lost, IBM‘s report emphasizes the unfortunate disconnect between entities’ acknowledgment of the severity of the issue and their preparedness.
