Focus on Individual Inventors with Many Documents

In reviewing the assignees from this sector, it is easy to note that it is dominated by individual inventors. In further reviewing the top assignees, there are a couple that stick out – John Ramirez and Claiborne Bailey. Both have filed consistently over the last three years, including in 2019, and show no signs of stopping.

John Ramirez has six relevant documents here, but over 25 patent documents in all. All of the documents seem to be for various kinds of athletic attire, generally gloves. Interestingly, he does not seem to have done anything with these documents, either in the form of licensing them or attempting to commercialize any product. 

Claiborne Bailey has four documents (all applications), and they are all relevant to this sector. These documents have to do with providing a gripping aid that is located between the pointer finger and thumb. The idea present is bridge the anatomical gaps in the user’s finger and thumb in order to improve the hand-to-handle interface.
