Avoiding drone-plane collisions
From 2020, DJI will be installing AirSense—technology that can detect ADS-B signals from aircraft miles away and alerts drone pilots—on all of its new consumer drones weighing above 250 grams. In fact, as one of the leading companies in the UAV patent space, the vast majority of DJI‘s recent patent documents relate to drone navigation techniques such as obstacle avoidance.
