Visa seeking a crypto expert

Visa is looking to hire a technical product manager for its “Visa Crypto team.” According to the listing, the new full-time employee will be responsible for executing Visa‘s product strategy within the cryptocurrency ecosystem. The new hire will manage a product roadmap and collaborate with the Visa Research team to design and develop new products. This is one of the latest indicators that large financial institutions are feeling pressured to keep up with blockchain technology despite their initially expressed aversion to the worldwide transition. Patent data corroborate this trend, revealing that Visa has been acquiring IP on maintaining temporary aliases associated with cryptocurrency addresses, blockchain architecture, and more.
