Media Capital Technologies is Looking to Disrupt Film Financing

Media Capital Technologies’ first patent application has been published. The application relates to the operation of an application on a distributed computing platform for managing the rights and entitlements associated with the production and distribution of films.

Today, funding and profits in the film industry have been a black box for investors and outsiders. Payments to rights owners and licensees frequently go unpaid for years. Moreover, independent film writers often have difficulty with funding, as they lack access to key funding networks in Hollywood. Current systems can’t keep up with modern funding techniques and technologies.

Media Capital Technologies’ platform would associate crypto tokens with ownership rights, intellectual property rights, payment entitlement rights, and investment rights pertaining to films. The platform would support multiple types of cryptocurrencies.

Founded this year, 2019, Media Capital Technologies is hoping to enter the global entertainment space with a platform focused on supporting both independent production entities and major motion picture studios.
