Samsung Integrating UAVs and 5G Technology

Samsung recently unveiled new technology that utilizes drones for 5G network optimization. By using a UAV, a smartphone, and deep AI learning, Samsung is able to optimally position the antennas on cell towers in as little as 15 minutes, compared to the several hours it traditionally takes. Additionally, it is much safer than having a technician climb the tower. This increased efficiency and autonomy is a prime goal and characteristic of the coming 5G implementation. Maintenance of the required infrastructure is sometimes an afterthought when it comes to 5G networks, but Samsung is not letting this aspect of next generation wireless network implementation fall by the wayside.  Check out Magic Number® for more information on both unmanned aerial vehicles and 5G implementation.
