Blackberry and DeDrone Partner for UAV Security

Blackberry and DeDrone have announced a partnership that will allow DeDrone to leverage Blackberry’s communication software with DeDrone’s drone detection and counter-measure technology.  DeDrone currently holds patents for both drone detection and drone countermeasures, such as a handheld signal jammer to prevent the operator from controlling the drone.  In 2015 Blackberry acquired Athoc, holder of numerous patents relating to communication management in crisis situations.  By combining the two technologies, DeDrone has positioned itself as a one-stop-shop for counter-UAV systems.  See DeDrone’s portfolio at Magic Number and analyze the claims with Patent Matrix®
