Drone Wars: U.S. And E.U. Regulators Face Off

Regulating drones is an issue on both sides of the Atlantic, with FAA and the EASA both developing urban air mobility (UAM) and unmanned aircraft systems traffic management (UTM) regulations. The first step – remote ID of drones – is still pending from both Europe and the US. Both sides are going their own way, with some major differences on device categories. Harmonization will come later, hopefully. In the meantime, ETAK Systems is leading the pack in the development of a platform for whatever comes.
