$7.75 million Air Force contract
A $7.75 million Air Force Research Lab contract has been awarded to AX Enterprize and Thales USA. They will use state-of-the-art air traffic management (ATM) systems to investigate how civilian and military UASs will safely coexist alongside manned aviation in the National Airspace System (NAS). While AX Enterprize does not have any known documents in the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles sector, Thales is a global leader in UAS air traffic management with a robust patent portfolio. In fact, its most recently published application is directed to drones detecting a risk of and preventing passing authorized flight zone limits.
