Avoiding drone rush hour
Safety is one of the biggest hurdles to the rapid adoption of drones in multiple industries, and in response to this pressing problem, AirMap has partnered with INVOLI to offer a pre-integrated UTM and Air Traffic Awareness solution. It connects drone pilots, authorities, and enterprise customers, and uses traffic data gathered by detection devices affixed to cell towers and other existing ground infrastructure.
While INVOLI, a Switzerland-based air traffic data provider, does not have patents in the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles sector, AirMap, a California-based global airspace intelligence platform, has an issued US patent on limiting drones’ access to airspace. This technology complements INVOLI’s sensors in making sure drones are operating in low-altitude airspace safely.
