Methods for Determining a Vehicle Position, and Systems for In-Flight Measuring and Recording Telemetry Data of a UAV
Qualcomm is developing methods for determining the position of a vehicle via images. It is also developing an embedded measurement (EM) system on a UAV for recording telemetry data.
AEE Mach 2, expected to become available in the spring this year, integrates ModalAI features into the Qualcomm Flight Pro Platform. It is expected to be equipped with the highly-sophisticated, simultaneous location and mapping (SLAM) system, which allows the drone to become aware of its surroundings by creating a virtual map in its brain as it flies.
