NEC Looks to Buy Back Power
An invention (U.S. Patent Pub. No. 20190392534) by NEC Corporation filed in October of 2017 allows for a power producer to purchase back power produced for consumption in associated facilities at a desired rate. Effectively, a power producer can now purchase back power generated to power its facilities at a rate that makes fiscal sense. This technology helps reduce the cost of running a power generation facility and its associated facilities.
