IBM combining AI with neurostimulation

International information technology company IBM is taking yet another step away from consumer products. They recently filed an application for a patent using AI for seizure classification, as well as publishing a paper on the topic. In the patent, IBM suggests that using electrodes the system will monitor brain activity to predict that the patient will have a seizure, and then use neurostimulation to attempt to prevent it. While this seems to be IBM‘s first foray into seizures, they are no stranger to AI/Biotech and have over 15 other issued patents in the space.
